Evan Finneke is a Chicago litigation attorney and Managing Partner of Meyer Finneke Law Group, LLP, where he represents individuals and families in complex personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights litigation across Illinois.
He believes every client has a story to tell—if you just listen.
A fifth-generation Chicagoan who grew up in Portage Park and graduated from St. Patrick High School, Evan brings both deep local roots and national-level experience to every case. His work has contributed to six, seven, and eight-figure case outcomes involving catastrophic injury, transportation negligence, and government liability. Before founding Meyer Finneke Law Group, Evan worked at notable Chicago firms, litigating high-stakes injury and civil rights cases in both state and federal courts. During law school, he worked with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office, assisting in the Homicide Task Force and Juvenile Defense Division, where he developed a foundation of courtroom advocacy and
cross-examination.
Evan has achieved victories against major insurance carriers, corporate defendants, national trucking companies, private mega-churches, and municipal entities, earning a reputation as a relentless advocate for the injured and the underserved. His litigation philosophy reflects the city he comes from—hardworking, unpretentious, and relentless in pursuit of justice for ordinary people against powerful institutions. When he’s not in court, Evan mentors young attorneys and remains active in community service initiatives throughout Chicago and the Chicagoland area.
